The base frame is a solid, torsion-resistant cast iron bed. The headstock is bolted to the bed and can be rotated. It is possible to turn larger workpieces outside the bed using a support or a cross slide. The headstock, with its short bearing span, can easily withstand high rotational forces. The motor is connected to a gearbox and has 5 gear stages.
